I know I'm stuck in some type of time warp when it comes to this idea of a disciple of Jesus who intentionally goes out to disciple other people in the way of Jesus and they in turn go out and disciple more people in the way of Jesus. I'm stuck... I know it has to be done for the movement to continue and thrive, but I don't know what to do with disciples of Jesus who resist and drag their feet and won't go! I am finding it very interesting and defeating that as disciples of Jesus, we like to share our good news with each other to keep reaffirming our commitment to following, and we convince ourselves that we are "growing in our faith". But, we never really go anywhere and we never really share with anyone who might be ready to receive "good news" because we are too afraid of the risks, the rejection and the ridicule we will endure.
